In brief
Each country has its own rules on who may translate documents for the authorities: in Spain, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Estonia, a sworn translator of that country; in Italy, a translation with asseverazione or certified by the consulate; in Latvia, a translator’s note “TULKOJUMS PAREIZS”; in the UK, a certified translation. We translate in the form your country will accept, into English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and other European and Baltic languages.

How it works
- You send us a scan of the document — or we translate a document that we have obtained for you.
- We confirm the country and authority and choose the form of translation.
- The translator translates the document together with the apostille and certifies the translation.
- You receive the translation electronically or by courier together with the original.
Frequently asked questions
Does the apostille itself need to be translated?
Usually the whole document is translated, apostille included — this reduces the risk of the authority sending the documents back. We have not found official rules on this for any country, so we translate the apostille by default.
Can a document be translated before it is apostilled?
After: the translation must include the apostille. If you want to save time, the translator can start with the document itself and add the apostille once it has been issued.
Will I receive the translation on paper or electronically?
It depends on the country and the translator. In Spain, a sworn translator can certify a translation with an electronic signature. In other countries, a paper translation with a seal and signature is usually required — we will send it together with the original.
