In brief
To exchange a Russian driving licence for a local one, European authorities often ask for confirmation from Russia that the licence was genuinely issued. We obtain the certificate from the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) confirming that your driving licence was issued, without you travelling, apostille a notarised copy of it, translate it and send the documents by courier. A certificate from the MVD of the Moscow region takes 4–5 working days and costs €275. For other regions, we will quote the time and price on request.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the apostille placed on a copy rather than on the certificate itself?
This kind of certificate cannot be apostilled in the original, so a notary certifies a copy and the Ministry of Justice apostilles the notarisation. Check your authority’s requirements for the form of the document in advance — we will tell you what to ask.
Which countries have you prepared these certificates for?
Poland, for example: our team’s clients received the certificate with delivery to Warsaw, and it was accepted. We will check the requirements of other countries for your specific authority.
Do I have to hand in my licence to get the certificate?
No. The certificate is issued based on your licence details; you keep the licence itself.
